Square offers many services so please be advised that this integration is only available with Squares merchant and gift card services.
The integration is specifically designed to only work using Ricochet on a Windows or Apple Mac personal computer (PC) or Apple iPad (using the Ricochet POS iPad App).

Square Terminal - The PC Choice for Ricochet and the only option for international customers.
For iPad:
NOTE: For international customers the ONLY option that will work is the Square Terminal.

Square Chip Reader - space saver that can be used on or off it's charging port

Integration Steps For Windows or Mac PC:
In Ricochet,
Click Preferences
Click Integrations
Click Square Payments
Click Authorize
Prompted to log into Square, sign in and proceed to 'Allow' integration w/ Ricochet
*NOTE: Your Square login process may require 2-Factor Authorization - complete as instructed through your login.
When rerouted back to Ricochet,
Click Add Terminal
Give it a name
*NOTE: If you have more than one location set in Square, select the Square Location that your transactions will go to.
A 6 digit code will present itself and a spinner will appear signaling the connection attempt to the terminal
On the Square Terminal do NOT use the user name and password credentials, there will be an option for you to select "use code", enter the 6 digit code as shown in Ricochet.
Integration Steps For iPad:
On iPad,
Open the Ricochet POS app
Slide out left hand menu
Tap on Preferences
Tap Integrations
Tap Square Payments
Tap Authorize
Prompted to log into Square, sign in and proceed to 'Allow' integration w/ Ricochet
*NOTE: Your Square login process may require 2-Factor Authorization - complete as instructed through your login.
When rerouted back to Ricochet,
Slide out left hand menu
Tap Preferences
Tap Mobile
Select to Authorize Square SDK
Select the primary device you will be using: Chip Reader, Magstripe or Stand
*NOTE: If you use the Magstripe along side either the Chip Reader or Stand you want to select the Reader or Stand as your primary and the Magstripe will continue to work when plugged in.
Slide out left hand menu
Tap POS
For Stand or Mag Strip, test a transaction
*Chip Reader Additional Steps*
If on Chip Reader, you should be prompted to 'Connect a Reader', follow the steps below before you can test a transaction:
Tap 'Connect a Reader'
Press the button on your Chip Reader for 3-10 seconds until 4 dots light up orange
Once all 4 dots light up orange, release the button
Place the reader next to your iPad to pair
Once paired, test a transaction
