How to Order and Process Gift Cards with Ricochet Pay. (USA)

With Ricochet Pay, order and offer gift cards for your customers and seamlessly process them in your store and online

Note:

  • Ricochet Pay must be your active payment processor for their gift cards to work in Ricochet. If you are not currently using Ricochet Pay, and would like to sign up, CLICK HERE to get started.

To Order Gift Cards:

  1. Contact our Ricochet Support at (208) 209-6697 and we can connect you with a gift card expert who will guide you through the ordering process.

To Sell Gift Cards in Your Store:

In Ricochet,

  1. Click POS

  2. Click Gift Card at the top of the screen

  3. Enter in the customer's preferred balance for the card

    NOTE: If you have more than one device you may be prompted to choose which device you will run the transaction on.

    Once selected, Click Process

  4. With the card in-hand,

    Swipe the gift card (the gift card balance will show as an item due on the POS)

  5. Complete the transaction as usual.

    The Receipt will have an Auth Code & PNRef code you can reference in your merchant services dashboard if need be:

To Redeem Gift Cards In Your Store:

In Ricochet,

  1. Click POS

  2. Scan or ring up shopping items, verify they are correct

  3. Click Gift Card/Certificate from the available tender types

    NOTE: If the card balance is below the Payment Amount desired, the max available on the card will be applied.If the customer only wants to use a portion of the gift card balance towards a purchase, update the Payment Amount before charging the gift card.

    NOTE: If you have more than one device you may be prompted to choose which device you will run the transaction on.

    Once selected,

  4. Click Process

    >

  5. Swipe the gift card or manually type the ID code.

  6. Complete payment for any remaining balance.

  7. Click Finish

    The gift card can be refilled and re-used at a later date if you or the customer would like to hold on to the card for later.

To Check The Balance Of Gift Cards In Your Store

In Ricochet,

  1. Click POS

  2. Click Gift Card at the top of the screen

  3. Click Check Balance

    NOTE: If you have more than one device you may be prompted to choose which device you will run the query on.

    Once selected,

  4. Click Process

  5. Swipe the Gift Card on the terminal device

    The POS will show 'Device Ready' > 'Connecting'

    Once valid, the card balance will be shown on the screen,

  6. Click Cancel to return to the POS
