Hard Wired Device: Connect your Ricochet Pay - PayLink device to the internet by plugging in the ethernet cord from your internet router to the red port.

WiFi Device: Connect your Ricochet Pay - PayLink device to WIFI one of two different ways:

  • Drop Down Panel

  • Settings Panel

! IMPORTANT !

If using hardwired ethernet connection, you must go into Settings and toggle OFF WiFi. The internet connection should only be Ethernet or WiFi - NOT both.

Drop Down Panel

On your Ricochet Pay - PayLink device,

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen

    1. Slide it down again to expand

  2. Click the WIFI icon

  3. Locate your WIFI network

  4. Enter your Password

  5. Click Connect

Once you see a solid WIFI icon you have established a connection

Settings Panel

On your Ricochet Pay - PayLink device,

  1. Click the gear icon to access Settings

  2. Enter your Administrator Password (this is a PAX Factory Default Administrator Password, NOT your credentials for your PayLink account)

  3. Click OK

  4. Click the WIFI icon/toggle

  5. Locate your WIFI network

  6. Enter your Password

  7. Click Connect

Once you see a solid WIFI icon you have established a connection

The Wi-Fi icon displayed will indicate the status and name of the Wi-Fi connection:

  • Excellent Wi-Fi Connection: An Excellent connection will ensure stable processing.

  • Good Wi-Fi Connection: You will be able to process, but consider moving your access point, router, or internet gateway closer to the payment device to ensure stable processing connectivity.

  • Poor Wi-Fi Connection: You will have issues processing. It's best to move the location of the access point, router, or internet gateway closer to the payment device. Alternatively, consider running ethernet cabling and using a wired payment device or upgrading to our cellular service for better connectivity coverage.

  • Bad Wi-Fi Connection: You may not be able to process with this connection, or you will experience consistent connection issues. Switch to a wired payment device or upgrade to our cellular service.
