Because your supplier costs may change over time Ricochet offers a way to track the changes in cost once you have updated the quantity on a retail product.

How to edit quantity and update cost on a retail item:

In Ricochet,

  1. Click Products and find the product needing edited

  2. Click the edit pencil icon to the right of the product

  3. Click the blue plus (+) sign below Qty on Hand

A pop up will appear to Add Quantity to SKU

  4. Input the quantity amount being added

  5. Input the Cost for New Quantity

  6. Click Add Quantity

The In-Stock Inventory Detail section will update to show the SKU, when the new quantity was received, the remaining quantity and cost for those quantities.

Click the blue dash (-) button to reduce the quantity of items at that cost

NOTE:

  • If you only update the Current Cost you will receive a WARNING that this will update the cost for all In Stock quantity

If you are simply meaning to add new product quantity at a new cost click Close and go back to use the blue plus (+) under Qty on Hand.

  • If there are products with variants needing the quantity edited you will still have the blue plus (+) button to adjust quantity OR you can click the downward arrow to the right to view further detail and click the In-Stock Inventory Detail hyperlink to adjust in the pop up window.
