Clearing your browsing data can help improve performance and fix certain issues with other websites or applications.
Be cautious to ONLY clear cache because clearing the cookies may log you out of websites and remove some temporary data.
How To Clear Browsing Data:
NOTE: You can press Ctrl + Shift + Delete on your keyboard to open the Clear browsing data menu in most web browsers.
For Chrome:
Click the Chrome menu icon (three dots at the top right of the screen)
Click Clear browsing data (a new window tab will open)
From the Clear browsing data pop up menu,
Select All Time from the Time range drop down
Check the box for Cached images and files (or uncheck others)
Click Clear data
Refresh your browser
Alternatively, you can go from Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data > complete steps 3-6 listed above.
For Safari:
Click Safari menu at the top of the screen
Click Settings or Preferences (depending on the version of macOS you are running)
Click the Privacy tab
Click Manage Website Data…
Choose Remove All or select websites individually to remove
Click Done
For Firefox:
Click the Firefox menu icon (three lines at the top right of the screen)
Click Settings (a new window tab will open)
Click Privacy & Security from the left hand menu
Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data
Check the box for Cached Web Content (or uncheck others)
Click Clear
Refresh your browser
For Edge:
Click the Microsoft Edge menu icon (three dots at the top right of the screen)
Click Settings (a new window tab will open)
Click Privacy, search, and services from the left hand menu
Scroll down to Clear browsing data
Click Choose what to clear
From the Clear browsing data pop up menu,
Select All Time from the Time range drop down
Check the box for Cached images and files (or uncheck others)
Click Clear now
Refresh your browser
Basic Steps For Most Mobile Devices:
Android:
Tap Settings
Tap Apps
Select the app needed
Tap Storage
Tap Clear Cache
iOS (iPhone/iPad):
Open the Safari app on your iPhone.
Tap the book/pages icon
Tap the clock icon
Tap Clear
For other apps, you may need to uninstall and reinstall them to clear their cache.
Other Applications:
Many applications have a built-in option to clear cache within their settings menu. Look for options like "Clear Cache," "Clear Data," or "Delete Cache" within the app's settings.
