How to connect Shopify with Ricochet and designate product to show in your online store.

Ricochet's Shopify integration is a Premium paid* add-on. Seamlessly post and sync your inventory to your Shopify website and track your recent Shopify sales data in Ricochet. Sales initiated in Shopify will also add any new customers into Ricochet, allowing you to track their purchase history.


Requirements:

Before connecting Shopify to Ricochet, be prepared with the following:

  1. Shopify Admin login email and password (must have 'Develop apps' permission)

  2. Shopify URL prefix (found in the uppermost part of your browser, i.e., https://yourstorename.myshopify.com, or by clicking your profile icon in the top right of your Shopify account)


How To Integrate Your Shopify Account:

In Ricochet,

  1. Click Preferences

  2. Click Integrations

  3. Click the Shopify tab with the Premium Diamond add-on indicator

  4. Select Monthly or Yearly payment plan

  5. Complete payment

  6. Upon successful payment you will be presented with a link to schedule with one of our Support agents to help finish your Shopify integration.

    • Be prepared with the following:

      • A computer with strong internet connectivity

      • Shopify Admin login email and password (must have 'Develop apps' permission)

        • Shopify URL prefix (found in the uppermost part of your browser, i.e., https://yourstorename.myshopify.com, or by clicking your profile icon in the top right of your Shopify account)

    • A Ricochet Support agent will help walk you through the steps in getting your Admin API access token and API secret key to complete the integration.


Once integrated,

Set the default Shopify Location you'd like to link to your Ricochet Store(s) found under Preferences > Integrations > Shopify > Link Shopify Locations

  1. Click the drop down for each store

  2. Select the Shopify Location

NOTE: You can override the Shopify Location on each product individually.


Adding Items From Shopify Into Ricochet

If an item created in Shopify sells online prior to being added to Ricochet, the sold item will be created in Ricochet when the sale syncs to Ricochet's Sales Reports.

How To Import Existing Shopify Inventory Into Ricochet:

In Ricochet,

  1. Click Preferences

  2. Click Integrations

  3. Click the Shopify tab

    Under Import Shopify Inventory,

  4. Click the drop down and select the store that the imported inventory should be associated with

  5. Click Import Inventory


Adding Items Online From Ricochet To Shopify:

Adding items online requires a few additional fields than standard in-store products:

Category, Weight, at least one Photo, toggle Shopify and designate Shopify Location.

In Ricochet,

  1. Click Products

  2. Check the box to the left of the item you'd like added to your Shopify Store

    (Click New Item if adding a new product to inventory)

  3. Click the Edit Pencil icon (to the right of the selected item) to open the editor

    Under Item Details,

  4. Select a Category for the item from the dropdown list (if you have not yet created categories, click here to learn how)

    NOTE: Categories in Ricochet are equal to Product Type in Shopify.

  5. Toggle ON Shopify

  6. Select a Shopify Location (if different from your default)

  7. Upload Photo(s) (click here for photo best practices)

    1. Arrange your photos from left to right in the order you would like them shown on the item page.

    Under Pricing & Inventory,

  8. Verify or edit Price & Quantity

  9. Enter the Weight of the item

  10. Click Save


How To View Shopify Orders in Ricochet:

! IMPORTANT !

  • Online sales through Shopify are processed through Shopify's payment processor, therefore, Rewards and Consignor Credit accumulated in Ricochet will not work as online currency.

  • Returns must be completed from within Shopify and the returned item manually changed back to "Restock" in Shopify in order for it to sell again online.

Ricochet will show the most recent 50 sales made via your Shopify website for quick reference. Clicking the order number hyperlink takes you to the order details in Shopify.

In Ricochet,

  1. Click Shopify

  2. Click Orders


How To Disconnect Your Shopify Integration:

In Ricochet,

  1. Click Preferences

  2. Click Integrations

  3. Click the Shopify tab with the Premium Diamond add-on indicator

  4. Click Disconnect
