Article Summary
Gift receipts in Ricochet offer your consignment or resale store a professional and customer-friendly way to handle gift purchases. By excluding prices, gift receipts allow recipients to return or exchange items without seeing what was spent, making them ideal for holidays, birthdays, or special events. Enabling this feature is quick—just head to your Admin settings under Preferences and toggle the Gift Receipts option on in the Taxes & Policies section.
When finalizing a sale in the POS, simply click “Finish,” then select the gift icon in the receipt pop-up window to print a gift receipt. After printing, you can still return to print other receipt types before clicking Done. Just remember: gift receipts can’t be reprinted once the receipt window is closed. However, you can use the Sale ID to locate the transaction in the Sales Detail Report if needed.
Offering gift receipts enhances the customer experience, giving your shoppers more flexibility while maintaining privacy. It’s a small but powerful way to bring added value and professionalism to your in-store checkout process.
