Every once in a while, you might have a consignor that brings in a stunning piece of furniture that you realize would fit perfectly as a display rack for your clothing. You may also want to record this information for tax or other accounting reasons.

To account for the purchase you need to create a customer account for the store and attach that customer at the POS.

In Ricochet,

  1. Click Accounts

  2. Click Customers

  3. Click New Customer

  4. In the name fields, enter your store's name

    • The address and phone number can be added, but are not necessary

  5. Click Save

Any time the store is purchasing an item for itself, make sure you add the store as the customer at the POS. Then when you want to look at any purchases totals in the future, you can pull that information from that customer's purchase history.
