Ricochet offers most tender types available on the POS screen, as well as an Advanced Cash Options feature that streamlines making change for cash sales.

Tender Types Available:

  • NOTE: Selecting a tender type will automatically use the total transaction price for that tender. If you want to split the tenders, you can manually enter the payment amount, and then select the tender type.

In Ricochet,

  1. Click POS

  2. Ring up items for a sale

  3. Select a tender type

  4. Finish the sale

Understanding Certain Tender Types:

Choosing More:

The More button allows for tracking Venmo, PayPal or Other tender types.

  • NOTE: These tender types are NOT integrated with your Paypal or Venmo accounts, they will just allow you to note that you accepted payment through those services. You will still need to accept payment through the apps themselves.

Choosing Consignor Credit, Rewards Credit & Store Credit:

These tender types are only available if a Customer/Consignor is added to the sale.

  • Once added, you can easily see how much credit the customer/consignor has available and choose the appropriate tender type needed:

Running Credit Cards:
Ricochet offers integrated credit card processing to make things easier. We suggest reading on our credit cards support article for more information.

Activating Advanced Cash Options:

The Advanced Cash module will appear once you have clicked the cash tender type.

This feature is not available by default, so to activate it:

In Ricochet,

  1. Click Preferences

  2. Click Admin

  3. On the Account Details Tab, scroll down

  4. Toggle ON Advanced Cash Options

  5. From the left hand menu go back to POS

  6. Ring up a sale

  7. Choosing Cash will now populate a number pad to manually add the amount and auto-calculate the change due in the breakdown section above

    • NOTE: There are also buttons for each dollar bill type, as well as three hot keys to cut down on the amount of time adding the cash total to make change for customers.
