Payment devices can experience interruptions that risk stalling your checkout process. These may include a power surge, inconsistent internet connectivity, or some other interference of functionality.

Fortunately, Ricochet has steps to safeguard your process by enabling a manual credit card payment when your physical device shows not connected.


How To Run A Manual Credit Card Transaction:

In Ricochet,

  1. Click POS

  2. Ring up items as you normally would

  3. Click Credit/Debit

  4. A pop up will appear that reads β€œDevice Unreachable”

  5. Manually input card details:

    • Card Number

    • Expiration Date

    • Security Code (CVV)

    • Address

    • Zip Code

    • Click to Pay

  6. Verify payment shows complete on the Ricochet POS window

  7. Add customer (optional)

  8. Click FINISH to finalize sale

  9. Print, send or bypass Receipt
