Setting Up Multi-Location Webstore

Choose Stores Involved:

Inside Ricochet,

  1. Click Online Store

  2. Click Settings

  3. Scroll down to the 'Other' section

    Under Store Selection,

  4. Click the Store(s) drop down

  5. Select the Stores involved

Choose Shipping Preferences:

Inside Ricochet,

  1. Click Online Store

  2. Click Shipping

    Under the Shipping section,

  3. Select Central Shipping or Multi Store Shipping

    • Central Shipping means shipping calculations are based on the address associated with the location you designate from the "Select Store for Central Shipping" drop down.

    • Multi Store Shipping means shipping is calculated as one parcel per store, for each store on the order. Shipping total is displayed as one amount to the customer. The customer will also see a notice on their screen letting them know that their products may be shipped from multiple locations.

  4. Select Rate Type

    • DYNAMIC rates will do its best to automatically calculate shipping cost by using the product weight and the customer's postal code.

      Under Dynamic Shipping Rates

      • Toggle ON any shipping rates that you would like to ship your items with. At checkout, the customer will be presented with an option to choose one of the available rates. For optimal customer experience we recommend limiting these to 2-3 carrier options.

    • FLAT rates let you assign thresholds to create shipping tiers based on weight or value.

      • Select By Price or By Weight

      • Click the plus (+) sign to add a new threshold

      • Input Threshold and Fee

      • Click Save

NOTE: Before being able to switch to Dynamic, or another Flat Rate type, all existing Flat Rates must be removed.

  5. Decide if you will offer Local Delivery:

Local Delivery is NOT RECOMMENDED for multi-location webstore. If you choose a postal code you are willing to deliver to, you will need to ensure you are willing to deliver to that location regardless of which store the item is coming from.
