Designate Your Product Label Size

How to choose label sizes and designate the information printed onto the label.

Written by Shandara Hart

Ricochet supports three label sizes:

2-1/4" x 1-1/4" (2.25 x 1.25)

1" x 1-1/2" (1 x 1.5)

3/8" x 3/4" Jewelry/Price Butterfly Tag 2-up

Ricochet is designed to work with thermal label printers that use label rolls. Supported brands include Dymo and Zebra.

To designate your primary label size in Ricochet,

  1. Click Preferences

  2. Click Product

  3. Click the 'Labels' tab

  4. Select the Circle under the 'Default' column for your primary choice label size

  5. Click Save.

The Standard 2.25" X 1.25" label size is the most configurable and offers the most areas for text. *See image below for options to choose from.

  • In the first column, you can choose three primary pieces of information.

  • The second and third columns let you pick one option for each.

The other label sizes do not offer any customization.

The small 1.5" X 1.5" will include the Barcode, SKU, and the item name.

The jewelry labels are printed in pairs, without a barcode because it is too small to scan. You can always enter the product SKU at the POS for adding the item to a sale.

Ricochet does not support the following printing methods:

  1. Printing on card stock: The software is not designed to handle card stock or other non-label materials.

  2. Printing on sheet paper (e.g., 8.5x11 sticker sheets): Ricochet does not support printing tags on sheet paper. All tag printing must be done using compatible thermal label printers with label rolls.
