Tango is an optional, paid add-on that offers flexible payout options. Available payout methods include ACH deposit, Push to Debit Card, digital gift cards from 250+ popular brands, PayPal, Venmo and prepaid cards.

If you would like to offer these payout options, click HERE to get started with Tango.

Before getting started, confirm the consignor agrees to receive payment disbursement links by SMS text message and/or email.

Digital rewards are delivered by SMS text message by default and is subject to the carrier’s standard messaging rates. Email delivery is available only after it has been enabled in the consignor’s Ricochet profile.

To receive a link to select their preferred electronic payout method, consignors must first be provisioned in Ricochet for payouts via Tango.

How to Enable Tango for a Consignor

In Ricochet,

  1. Click Accounts

  2. Click Consignors

  3. Search for and select the consignor

  4. Click the Edit (pencil) icon to the far right of their name

  5. Under the Account Details tab,

    1. Verify the phone number is current and entered correctly (update if needed)

Recommended Best Practice: Prioritize SMS Delivery

As a best practice, we recommend keeping SMS delivery as the default method for sending disbursement links whenever possible.

Why?

  • Most customers prefer SMS over email when given the option.

  • Venmo is a mobile-first platform, and every Venmo account is tied to a mobile phone number.

  • Customers typically have one mobile number but may have multiple email addresses.

  • The email address used for a disbursement link may not match the one associated with the customer’s Venmo account.

If a customer selects Venmo as their payout method but the disbursement link is sent to an email address not associated with their Venmo account, the funds may be delayed. In these cases, the recipient must contact Venmo directly to update the email on file before the funds can be released.

To help prevent payout delays and reduce customer friction, we strongly recommend making SMS delivery the default or primary option whenever possible.
