Managing Your Ricochet Billing Subscriptions

How to activate or change your billing account information in Ricochet.

When you activate your trial, this begins your first billing cycle. Charges are then automated every month, or every year, depending on your subscription type.


To Activate Your Subscription From Trial:

In Ricochet,

  1. Click Preferences

  2. Click Admin

  3. Click Account & Billing

    This page gives you an overview of your billing information. You can see the number of days left in your trial, the default standard plan type, amount and billing date.

  4. Click Manage Subscription

  5. Click Payment Methods

  6. Input Card Details

  7. Click Add

  8. Designate Primary or Back Up (you can add multiple payment methods and have a backup in case your primary payment fails)

  9. Click Update.

NOTE: Ricochet defaults to a monthly subscription. To choose an Annual Subscription after a payment method is added simply click the back arrow to get back to the Manage Subscription section.

Next,

  1. Click on the existing Subscription Plan

  2. Click Edit Subscription

  3. Click Change

  4. Choose Yearly

  5. Click Update


To Update Your Billing Information:

In Ricochet,

  1. Click Preferences

  2. Click Admin

  3. Click Account & Billing

    This page gives you an overview of your billing information. You can see the current subscription plan(s), amount(s) and billing date(s). You can also add an Additional Location.

  4. Click Manage Subscription

Within this section you can change your plan type for monthly or annual billing, update account or address information, add payment methods and view your billing history.

To change your billing frequency,

  1. Click on the existing Subscription Plan

  2. Click Edit Subscription

  3. Click Change

  4. Choose Yearly or Monthly

  5. Click Update.

To manage payment methods,

  1. Click on Payment Methods

  2. Select the existing payment

  3. Click Remove Payment Method

    IMPORTANT! Do NOT choose Edit Payment Method. To ensure accurate billing you will need to remove the old card and add a new card, even if the card number is staying the same.

  4. Input Card Details - this new card will default to the Primary method of payment.

  5. Click the upper right 'X' to exit here

    OR

  6. Click Add New to add a Backup should your primary method fail

  7. Input Card Details

  8. Click Add

  9. Select the Backup check box

  10. Click Update

  11. Click the upper right 'X' to exit.


Ricochet will attempt to charge your card on the next billing date (or the next night, if overdue). If the card declines or has an error, a banner will appear requesting you update your information.
